Warren Creates presents ” Philanthropic Tourism: Insights on Social Welfare through Tourism and Hospitality”.
On November 22nd, Warren was invited by Professor Jason W. M. Kelly to present a seminar at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This seminar was titled ” Philanthropic Tourism: Insights on Social Welfare through Tourism and Hospitality”.
Warren shared his knowledge and experience about social welfare through tourism and hospitality from a philanthropic perspective. The Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival and Foundation hosted North America’s largest Dragon Boat Festival and the continents first Ice Dragon Boat Festival, which were instrumental in raising over $5.5 million Canadian dollars (over HK$30 million) for various charitable causes.
As the Co-Founder and President of the Can-Go Afar Foundation, a charity working with the Afar people in Ethiopia, Warren discussed the development of an adventure travel program. This program invites individuals with philanthropic aims to join the Foundation on mission trips to the Afar region by making a sizable donation towards the foundations charitable goals.
